The village was first settled in the early 1820s by Judah Church and Moses “Samuel” Munson. Munson built a sawmill in town in 1825, and the Village was incorporated in 1859.

Kim Urbanowski, Orion Township’s Citizen of the Month for December 2019, was recognized “for being one of the coolest residents in town” (among other commendable things).

“The Orion Township Public Library in partnership with the Auburn Hills Public Library and the Clarkston Independence District Library will hold its first Adult Battle of the Books program on Thursday, April 16 from 6:30-8:30 pm…”
