Orion Township’s Community Programs Department, housed at Orion Center, offers a number of Events throughout the year. The events and ongoing activities provided to the community are largely comprised of “general recreation programming and senior services.” The department’s Mission Statement states:
We create community through people, parks and programs by providing recreation experiences, promoting health and wellness, protecting natural resources, fostering human development, strengthening safety and security, increasing cultural unity, facilitating related community problem-solving, strengthening community image and sense of place and supporting community development
